Cacao vs. Cocoa First off its a fruit tree that grows practically everywhere but West Africa makes 70% of the Worlds Cocoa. Its processed at a higher temperature but both are the same legume from a pod berry like fruit. Each bearing up to 50 seeds. 100% Cacao is 99.75 % by volume. The tree is Theobroma Cacao and is grown in rich environments. Drinking cocoa everyday can reduce inflamation and reduce blood pressure and help with diabetes. Its rich in several antioxidents and flavanoids. A cup of hot chocolate has less caffiene than a cup of coffee. Having a cup before bed helps with sleep. Making it with a tsp of vanilla whole milk and a few spoons of sugar. Blend it with a banana or blueberries. Cacao is not processed the same as cocoa as that is processed at a higher temperature. Cocoa is a roasted a roasted process Cacao is not. Everyone thinks oreos are chocolate which are instead wafers of cocoa. Chocolate is the fermented bean.. So there are differences in the two, heck i wouldnt have guessed it. Peace, BigT
